In our pursuit of healthy, radiant hair, certain practices are super important. Not only do they safeguard the investments made at the salon, but they also usher in an era of healthy hair.
Here are some reminders to help you embark on your journey to ultimate hair health.
Clean Formulations:
The products we use play a crucial role in the health of our hair. Harsh ingredients like sulfates, silicones, and alcohol may advertise to offer short-term benefits but wreak havoc on hair and scalp health in the long run.
Inside WHITEFOX, we’ve meticulously curated a selection of products free from such offenders, ensuring your hair receives only the best care.
Strand Safety:
Whether you’re a daily or an occasional styler, always shield your strands with heat protectant.
Heat damage will lead to dryness, split ends, and breakage, derailing your quest for healthy hair. Additionally, limit your hot tools to temperatures to never exceed 350°F to prevent thermal stress and maintain your hair integrity (this may be the MOST important one!)
Tailored Washing Routine:
Striking the right balance of your hair wash days is crucial. Gone are the days of neglecting your hair for weeks on end or washing every single day. Balance is key and what YOUR hair and scalp needs.
Overwashing and underwashing can both spell trouble for your hair and scalp. We highly recommend consulting with one of our gals to craft a personalized hair care plan tailored to your needs, including washing frequency and product recommendations.
Growth Needs Trims:
Seems counter intuitive, right? BUT! In actuality, regular trims are non-negotiable for healthy hair. Schedule your haircut appointments every 6-8 weeks to keep your ends looking their best.
If we only see you every 8-12 weeks, we recommend coming in between your color/blonding appointments for a quick micro trim to welcome healthy growth.
When hair splits, it causes the entire strand to split which results in losing the hair strand all together to do breakage. Stop the split by cutting it off!
With these simple yet super effective tips and guidelines, you’ll be well on your way to healthier hair.
